While it’s been a wild year and a half for the live music community, it’s finally safe to say that Miami’s music festival scene is back on the rise. From internationally acclaimed indie and hip hop in Wynwood, to electronic and reggae on the sands of Virginia Key, to funky psychedelic grooves in North Beach, the last three months of 2021 are packed with can’t-miss festivals in the 305.

III Points

October 22-23 | Mana Wynwood

Loved by Miami’s music scene for its immersive art experiences, eclectic roster of artists, and funky urban edge, III Points makes its long-awaited homecoming this Friday and Saturday. Like most major festivals, III Points was forced to cancel its 2020 event, then pushed to reschedule multiple times before landing on this weekend’s dates. Alongside major international headlining acts like The Strokes, Rufus Du Sol, Khruangbin, Three 6 Mafia, and Wu Tang Clan, III Points reps the Magic City by creating a platform for South Florida’s own emerging musicians and bands. Catch local artists including synth rock band Bed Scene, psychedelic intercontinental rhythms by Richie Hell, danceable tribal disco by Laura of Miami, and ‘cosmic sounds of the forthcoming space age’ by Miami’s Dude Skywalker, to name a few. Art With Me Miami

November 26-28 | Historic Virginia Key Beach Park

After taking Tulum by storm in 2018 as its first arts and culture festival, Art With Me is now in its fourth year and making its Miami debut next month. Bringing a dynamic, multisensory mix of art, music, and wellness experiences, Art With Me aims to create genuine connection as well as build awareness about the environmental issues that affect us locally and globally. The event is centered upon six pillars: art, care, dance, breathe, play, and eat. With more acts still to be announced, so far the line-up features Lee Burridge presents All Day I Dream, Tycho: ISO50, Sublime with Rome, and Cultura Profética. The sandy beaches and lush green spaces of the Historic Virginia Key Beach Park will create an enchanted backdrop where attendees will discover over 200 activations throughout the weekend, including large scale art installations and interactive events. North Beach Music Festival

December 10-11 | North Beach Bandshell

With a lineup stacked with the grooviest rock, jam and funk bands of the modern music scene, and an address at one of the most iconic live music destinations in Miami Beach, this newcomer is set to be one of the most memorable music events of 2021. Taking place at the historic North Beach Bandshell, the inaugural North Beach Music Festival is presented by GMP Live, the festival producers behind the annual event Brooklyn Comes Alive, as well as a long-running late night series in New Orleans during Jazz Fest. Bringing a music festival to South Florida has been a dream for GMP Live founder and president Gideon Plotnicki ever since his relocation to Miami in 2019. Set between the Bandshell and a stage in the adjacent park, and right next to the beach, this intimate boutique festival experience will feature notable acts including Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Motet, Spafford, Marco Benevento, and Eric Krasno & The Assembly. Spafford will perform two sets – one entirely improvised and another titled “Spafford & Friends” featuring all-stars from throughout the festival’s lineup. MORE INFO
