In case you hadn’t noticed, we’re big fans of community markets–whether they be vintage or farmer. For over a year, the Flamingo Flea has brought together some of South Florida’s best makers for fun Sundays in Fort Lauderdale. Since then, they’ve grown in love and popularity to new heights and new ventures around the region. Here are four ways you can experience the magic of the Flamingo Flea in our backyard:
The best way to experience the Flamingo Flea is, of course, the classic way through their one-day market every other month at Tarpon River Brewing in Fort Lauderdale. Picture a day exploring the stalls of curated local vintage, handmade, upcycled, and locally-sourced vendors complete with delicious eats and of course, craft brews.
On the opposing months, the Flamingo Flea transforms into a green thumb’s dream with a plant-forward market called Grow and Gather. Still at Tarpon River Brewing, but this one is more of a rustic farmer’s market highlighting local growers and food purveyors. Discover new treats and treasures in your community, with your community on Sunday, August 29th from 12PM-4PM.
There’s no surprise that the success of the Flamingo Flea expanded outside of Broward and into Miami, with their latest partnership with Freehold in Wynwood. Once a month, The Flea will takeover the trendy space with funky and stylist vendors befitting the creative and eclectic neighborhood. You’ll see Miami favorites and some of the usual suspects come together for a fun day at the market.
If you are like us and can’t wait for those monthly happenings, then don’t worry! The Flea has launched yet another fun partnership with the Small Wine Shop in Fort Lauderdale with a mini store and pop-up shop featuring a rotating list of some of the Flea’s favorite vendors from Tuesday – Sunday every week.
