The heat is officially here, which means there’s no point in trying to hide the subsequent sweating that comes with it. The best way to take your mind off of the weather is by dancing the whole thing out, and luckily for us, Miami’s music scene is primed and ready to let us do just that. Whether you’re looking for an intimate, underground jam with Miami’s best producers or an outdoor jazz concert for all ages, this week’s round-up is all about the tunes:

Tropico Virgo at Melinda’s

There are very few things that are more “Miami” than getting down on a Tuesday, and this week, Melinda’s is the outpost for one such rage. The monthly jam from Tropico Virgo is back with a stellar lineup of some of the city’s funkiest musical phenoms on the decks. Flow through sounds from the night’s guest: Sister System, with tunes from resident DJs Terence Tabeau, and Patrick Walsh to get your week off on the right note. MORE INFO
