Centralized Miamians rarely venture up the three-figured streets along Biscayne Boulevard, but if we do make the trip, we’re planning on making it worthwhile. Whether or not you’re headed up to Sunny Isles and Aventura to get some shopping or errands in, either way, be aware that there are some delicious local gems just waiting for you to try out. Here’s a handful of our current eateries up north:
If you’re still skeptical about enclosed spaces during this time, we don’t blame you and we agree that it’s better to err on the side of caution when it comes to safety. The Alchemist coffee shop in Aventura provides possibly one of the most charming courtyards for catching up on e-mails with some seriously delicious coffee and bites.
There are many reasons why this local chain has become so beloved it now have 4 locations around South Florida. It all starts with the food at Juice & Java, which is all-natural and fully geared toward comfortable digestion without skimping on flavor. The atmosphere at their Sunny Isles location is cute, welcoming and refreshing–perfect for a daily routine.

Aventura, Sunny Isles, and North Miami Beach are kings of the mini shopping center, which is why you should never overlook a restaurant that calls one of the many of them home. El Tayta Peruvian Restaurant boasts all of the freshness and authenticity you want from a Peruvian spot, and after trying their signature octopus, we guarantee it’ll become a go-to.
Another absolutely loved local chain, La Boulangerie launched onto the scene years ago armed with some of the best French baked goods in the region. From Key Biscayne and Pinecrest, to Kendall and Coral Gables, this French Bakery boasts a Latin twist that is instantly irresistible. Their Aventura location is a favorite for breakfast and lunch.
South Florida is a second home for many Latin Americans, and the Argentinean population has been steadily on the rise for decades. La Estancia Argentina is a local gaucho and market with three locations, including their bustling spot in Aventura. You can head here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, or pop in for fresh butcher meats and a bakery.
The newest spot on the list, Reunion Ktchn Bar has been quietly stepping up the area’s culinary game since later last year. It’s the kind of elevated dining experience the neighborhoods were in dire need of outside of the mall. Their menu is creative and inventive, while still remaining familiar and welcoming–a perfect spot for a dinner or happy hour to impress.

Located inside the breathtaking Solé Miami Resort in Sunny Isles, BALEENKitchen is pretty much as luxurious as it gets. Guests can enjoy a high-end meal with unobstructed views of the beach in their open dining room. The Noble House restaurant is the third iteration of the same name around the world, and is known for serving up eclectic menus within impactful interiors inspired by an international sense of adventure.
