Monday, January 6th:

National YoungArts Week 2020 – The National YoungArts Foundation’s signature program, National YoungArts Week, welcomes more than 170 YoungArts Finalists to Miami. A life-changing experience that supports young artists (ages 15–18 years or grades 10–12) in the visual, literary, and performing arts, this program fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and offers unparalleled guidance to prepare for a career in the arts. Throughout the week, these promising artists work with master teachers in their field to share their talents with the public at New World Center and the YoungArts Campus.

Thursday, January 9th:

Miami Jewish Film Festival – The best of international and independent cinema returns to Miami when the Miami Jewish Film Festival (MJFF) takes over the city for its 23rd year. The largest Jewish cultural event in Florida, and one of the three largest Jewish film festivals in the world, takes place this year over 13 days from January 9-23.

Friday, January 10th:

Full Moon Dance Circle (Noche Gitana) – Every month there is a Full Moon Drum Circle event done at the North Shore Open Space Park (8101 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, Fl. 33141). Fusion Gitana will be getting together to start the year dancing under the Full Moon.

Miami City Ballet: I’m Old Fashioned – Miami City Ballet is joined by two larger than life stars, Fred Astaire and Rita Hayworth, in Jerome Robbins’ stunning I’m Old Fashioned, on a huge screen dancing and gliding alongside Miami City Ballet dancers. This tribute to the Golden Age of Hollywood is big, glamorous and simply irresistible!

Saturday, January 11th:

Coconut Grove Scavenger Hunt – Make plans to join us in the Grove for an Instagram Scavenger Hunt! This family-friendly event will get you acquainted with our eclectic mix of merchants and boutiques as you make your way around Miami’s oldest neighborhood. Register for the event at Lokal located at 3190 Commodore Plaza and begin to explore the Grove. We are collecting new or gently used hoodies and jackets to provide to children in need. Complete the Instagram posts first and take home a Panama Jack Beach Cruiser! The Spillover is the finish line and will have drink specials and fun games for the kids!
