If you know me personally, you know that I love my podcasts. They tend to fall into the self-help, spiritual, and entrepreneurial categories. If you aren’t into those, this might not be the list for you. But if you’re like me and feed off of self-actualizing your potential and trying to be a good human in this crazy-ass world, these are just for you.

WorkLife with Adam Grant

Two of my favorite episodes are: “How To Love Criticism” and “The Daily Show’s Secret to Creativity.” I love this show for a few reasons. Aside from Adam Grant’s perspective as an organizational psychologist, his inquisitive approach to understand current work trends and why people are the way they are reels you into to his compelling storytelling. Also, fun fact his advertorials are so well-produced that I look forward to listening to the sponsored breaks. The Bonobos and Accenture ads are moving and a great example on how to be intentional and thoughtful with messaging.

Super Soul Sunday

‘Cuz OPRAH. She checks all my boxes for weekly inspiration, spiritual awakenings, and “aha” moments. Featuring some of my favorites like Deepak Chopra, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Maya Angelou, Gretchen Rubin, Paulo Coelho to name a few.

Magic Lessons with Liz Gilbert

Who doesn’t love Elizabeth Gilbert? I’m bold enough to say that this might be one of my favorites on the list. Liz has an unbelievable way of personifying the creative process in such a relatable way and articulating what we all think. Whether you are a serial entrepreneur or thinking of persueing a long-time dream, this podcast will push you into that energy with lighter fluid. Liz explores how to tap into your joy, desires, ambitions, and igniting your soul. All with the turmoil and frustrations that it might come with.

The Tim Ferriss Show

You might know him as the best selling author of The 4-Hour Workweek. I love this podcast because not only does he always have interesting people on, but he also has a wonderful way of asking profound questions that make it riveting to listen to–no matter the topic.

The School of Greatness with Lewis Howes

When I think of Lewis Howes, I think of all the cliché #MondayMotivation quotes because he does just that. He chats with brilliant minds on their successes, failures, tactics and tools to help you to actualize your potential. I feel like this is the perfect suggestion for any loved one you might know needs a little inspo push in their lives.

Light Work: A podcast with Danielle Laporte

I first got put onto Danielle Laporte when my dear friend Arlene Delgado gifted me with her beautiful “The Desire Map”. Listening to her podcast makes you feel like you are having an intimate conversation and brings you into her stream of poetically-hilarious consciousness. She chats about personal activism, self-realization, and cosmic connectedness. I might’ve sent her “Upside of Suffering…sort of” episode to at least three friends going through the trenches.

TEDTalks Art

It would be weird to publish this listicle without including TED. You’ve probably sat at your computer to watch inspiring TEDTalks. I have to say that I love consuming them in podcast form too. This podcast is the “Art” branch and whether I’m driving or going on my morning walks, I’m always engaged in hearing about the cross-pollination of creativity across several disciplines like activism or psychology. One of my favorites is Cleo Wade’s “Want to change the world? Start by being brave enough to care.”

NPR: How I Built This with Guy Raz

It’s pretty fascinating to get the inside track on how some of the most notable companies and brands got their start. It reminds you that a brilliant idea strapped with courage to execute could make you the next multi-million dollar empire.

On Being with Krista Tippett

If spiritual inquiry, science, social healing and the arts are your points of interest, you’ll really dig this podcast. Krista creates interviews based on the pursuit of the ancient and enduring human questions. Her wonderful conversations and powerful speakers give rise to our spiritual traditions and resonate through every institution.
