After gaining recognition when he was only a teenager, Jacob Collier has been on the rise in the music scene. A two-time Grammy nominee and multi-instrumentalist at only 22 years old, there is no stopping this musical talent.

Growing up and based out of London, Collier is known for his blend of different elements of genres, such as jazz, folk, Brazilian music, soul, A cappella and classical music. After being discovered by world-renowned producer Quincy Jones, he began working on his music and in 2016, he released his debut album In My Room, which was recorded, arranged, performed and produced entirely by Collier himself.

When you listen to his music, you can hear how each tiny detail has a purpose in his music. In each track, you hear his vocal playing on a cappella style fused with the smooth elements of jazz and soul while some take on the funky melody of Brazilian samba, a key style of Quincy.

Collier will be gracing the sands of North Beach at the first annual Ground Up Music Festival, this February 10-12 where he will be joined by fellow Grammy winners Esperanza Spalding, Snarky Puppy, and many other incredible acts.
